Privacy Policy
AB Transistor respects your privacy. This policy describes how personal data is handled when using the T-Talk application. It explains what personal data we handle, why we handle it, and how we protect it.
Who is responsible for your data?
AB Transistor is the controller responsible for handling personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle personal data, please contact info@transistor.se.
What data we collect
We keep personal data to a minimum.
We store the data needed to operate your account, let you sign in, give you the right access, and help you restore access if needed. This may include:
- your email address and account name
- which sign-in method you use, for example email, Apple, or Google
- account status, such as active, disabled, or closed
- password reset information, if you use email login
- subscription and purchase status, for example whether your account has an active monthly or yearly subscription
- basic usage information, such as when you last used T-Talk for transcription and how many times transcription has been started
Apple, Google, and email sign-in
If you use more than one sign-in method with the same verified email address, we may connect those sign-ins to the same T-Talk account. This lets your subscription and account access work across devices and platforms.
If the same email address is already connected to more than one account, we may ask you to contact support so we can help link the correct account safely.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you buy a subscription through the App Store or Google Play, the payment itself is handled by Apple or Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
We store the information needed to know whether your T-Talk account has an active subscription. This can include the store name, product identifier, transaction or purchase identifier, purchase date, expiry date, renewal status, and store notifications about subscription changes.
This information is used to give access to T-Talk on the device where you bought the subscription and on other devices where you sign in with the same T-Talk account.
Trial and free minutes
To manage the free trial and the free minutes after the trial, we store usage information such as how many seconds or minutes have been used in the current period, when transcription was last started, and how many times transcription has been started. We do not store what was said, the audio, or the transcription text.
What we do not store
No transcription data is ever saved on the backend.
We do not save your audio, live transcription text, saved transcriptions, summaries, or key points on our backend.
Saved transcriptions are stored only on your local device. If you delete the T-Talk app, those saved transcriptions are deleted with the app. They are not stored by us, are not accessible remotely by us, and cannot be restored by us.
How speech is processed
Speech is processed only to provide live transcription. The transcription service may process the audio while transcription is running, but the transcription data is not saved on our backend.
If you choose to create an AI summary or key points, the text is sent for processing so that the summary can be generated. We do not save the original transcription, the summary, or the key points on our backend.
Accuracy of transcriptions
Transcription is an automatic service and the result may be incomplete, incorrect, delayed, or affected by sound quality, background noise, speaker pronunciation, language choice, microphone quality, network conditions, or other technical factors.
AB Transistor cannot be held responsible for any incorrect transcription, missing words, misunderstood speech, speaker identification errors, translation errors, summaries, key points, or for how audio has been interpreted or transcribed by the service. T-Talk should not be used as the only source for decisions where an incorrect transcription could cause harm, legal consequences, financial loss, medical risk, or other important consequences.
Why we process personal data
We process personal data only for limited and specific purposes, mainly:
- to provide access to the service
- to link your sign-in methods to the correct T-Talk account
- to verify and manage subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play
- to manage trial access and free minutes
- to help restore account access or reset a password
- to maintain the security and basic operation of the service
We do not use personal data for unnecessary purposes.
Legal basis
Where we process personal data for account access, subscriptions, trial access, free minutes, and password recovery, we do so because it is necessary to provide the service and manage your account.
We aim to follow the GDPR principles of transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, and security.
How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the T-Talk application, manage your subscription and account access, support password recovery, or as long as required by law.
Saved transcriptions on your device stay there until you delete them or delete the app.
How we protect data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may have the right to:
- access your personal data
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- request restriction of processing
- object to certain processing
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
If you want to exercise any of these rights, please contact info@transistor.se.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version reflecting the use of the T-Talk application will always be available in the app or on our website.
